Red-Dot Pistol Course

This course is to teach the officer and/or first responder or the responsible citizen the methodology and fundamentals of employing the RDS-equipped pistol.   


TOPICS COVERED 


  • Zeroing your red dot. 10 yard zero. 25 yard confirmation.  Ammo selection
  • Draw and how to stop fishing for the dot.  Why back up irons are necessary?
  • Only use the necessary amount of information required to make an acceptably accurate shot at the speed and distance required.  
  • Red dots up close. 5 yards and in. 
  • Red dots at distance
  • Speed: Efficiency of draw and presentation
  • Concealed and open setups
  • Speed is the economy of motion
  • Speed is not useless frenetic movement. 
  • Micro drill training method. 
  • Dot tracking: Grip, Stance, dot movement, predictability.  Stop over confirming the dot!
  • Modes of Practice
  • How to get better on your own.  Dry fire for skill building.  Live fire for confirmation
  • Target transitions
  • Shooting on the move
  • Identifying, diagnosing, and fixing common problems with all the aforementioned skills.

  • Good holster of student's choice.  No Serpas, No old leather holsters.

Pistol Fundamentals Course

This class is designed for newer shooters as well as individuals that have been shooting their entire life but are not as proficient or as confident as they would like to be. 


In this course you will learn how to Safely and efficiently manipulate your weapon while building the confidence in the ability to use your weapon with practical application in Self-Defense.  We will establish baselines for each shooter so that you will understand your limitations and capabilities.  you will walk away from this class with knowledge-based understanding of the true fundamentals as well as the tools to self-diagnose and make corrections.

Core Pistol Course

This class is designed for the modern shooter who wishes to become highly proficient with their firearm.  This class is the portal to developing Speed and Accuracy.  This course is intended to tune into your fundamentals so that you can have a true understanding of how to get the results you want.  This course has a time and accuracy standards that will be met in this class.  We do not lower the standard to meet a comfort level of the shooter, you must push yourself to meet the standard and we will give you the tools to accomplish that! 


STOP TRAINING TO PASS YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND START TRAINING FOR REAL LIFE SELF-DEFENSE SITUATIONS. 

  

PREREQUISITE:


1. Must know and perform the four (4) firearm safety rules. 

2. Must have experience drawing from the holster. 

3. Optics/Sights must be zeroed before attending this class.
